Resting up tonight for the first official training ride of my preparation for the 100 mile CT challenge.  Going to be good to get on the bike outside for a change and get some riding in. Hopefully the weather tomorrow morning is good!

Sunday May 6th sharons walk - run - ride. A great twenty mile ride along the west haven and Milford coast line. Great views of long island sound along this mostly flat route. Sharons ride is a fund raiser for the Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut. I will be doing the ride and hope to raise money for the foundation. I started late this year, but will definitely get a jump start for next years event.
Sunday April 29th 9:00am Smillow closer to free training ride. Two options, twenty and forty miles. See closer to free link on the c4c page for details.

Sean Swarner, an inspiration

Went to the Bike CT Challenge kick off event last week featuring a presentation by a cancer survivor by the name of Sean Swarner.  Sean beat terminal cancer twice and then scaled the 7 summits of the world starting with Mt. Everest, the tallest peak on the globe.

Check out his truly inspirational story:

Sean is a motivation for all and shows how important it is to have hope.  People like him are what make the world keep going even in times of hardship.
