2018~May CTF Social / Training ride

most awesome ride with great CTF marshals and Cyclists. There was a 51% possibility of rain, but we took the chance and rolled out anyway....We had a very cohesive group, great ride, great conversations and much needed training toward our "Smilow Closer to Free ride"...

This group did a steady 35miles, 1 regroup, 1 potty stop, 1 east rock climb 12.9mph total ride average.

We ride again last Sunday of June rsvp online www.rideclosertofree.org.

C4C Team Alex @ Sharons Ride for Epilepsy

Well over 50 members of C4C Team Alex were prepared to cycle, walk or run for the Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticuts fund raiser out of Savin Rock in West Haven CT. until the rain put a damper on the event.  Unfortunately, Team C4C had to cancel the cycling portion due to rain, but several of us came out for the "walk" and or  "stand under the tent" portion of the event.

2018~05~06 ALA Cycle the Seacoast

Douglas and Megan Johnson led Team C4C this morning in New Hampshire to ride in support of the fight against lung diseases such as lung cancer, COPD and asthma. Our team has multiple reasons for participating- whether it’s a personal fight with lung disease, the struggle or loss of a loved one, a deep commitment to the cause and/or just for the camaraderie.

Thank you to Doug and Megan Johnson, Keira O'Brien, Emily Thomas, Todd Barrett and Al Santos for thier dedication and participation.

Congratulations to Al for pedaling out his first 50 mile organized ride!!!

We are all committed to raising awareness about preventing lung disease and promoting lung health. In addition to training for the ride, each member raised a minimum of $250 in donations. They will ride again in September for the same cause. Please revisit this blogspot to keep up with Team C4C training and to follow and support us in upcoming events.
