View of the island from gulf beach.
Gulf beach was pretty clean and calm.

Did 40 miles of the folks on spokes.
It was pretty devastating to see the damage along the coast.  i felt horrible riding through while people were still cleaning thier homes of sea soaked belongings.  I didnt want to look like a gauker, but i truly needed to see and learn from the structural damage caused by the power of nature.  silversands and west haven looked like they were hit pretty hard.  houses off of foundations, etc.

September view from compo

I posted a photo in august of a rainbow after a rain storm.  in that photo the rainbow ended at this spot from where i am taking the photo.

No pot of gold....just compo beach.

Larkin bridle trail.

Rode the trail mid october...pretty flat except for the street intersections with the trail. Total distance is about 11 miles each way.  there were about 3 locations where i needed to dismount due to water or steep inclines.

Getting colder

This is one of my favorite roads / workouts. This the view as i head back home. 6-8 miles of uphill left from this point.  this is usually mile mark 35.
