2013-07-26 CT Challenge 80 mi

75 riders cycled from the Interlaken Inn in Lakeville Connecticut to The Hunt Club in Westport, CT.
the ride began at 8:00am in Lakeville and most riders completed the course by 1:00pm.  The first miles felt as though they were all down hill, but miles 30 through 80 were a roller coaster of ups and downs.  All cyclist rode approximately 82 miles horizontally and ascended approximately 6500' vertically.  It was a true Connecticut Challenge.  All Cyclist were excited to be there, every one was pumped up and focused to ride the distance.  Even though the course had its ups and downs (as we all do in our daily lives), we all hammered through knowing that we had to do this for our own good and for our own causes.  I was so jacked up to ride, that I did not have the opportunity to record by photographs the difficulty and beauty that the ride truly presented to us all.  attached are a few photos of my nephew Eric and I as we cycled for those in our lives that we have lost and those in our lives that mean the whole world to us!!! this was such a beautiful place....I wish you could have all experienced it with us
